fxpodcast #254: Fabric Engine’s Creation Platform

From SIGGRAPH 2013, we talk to Fabric Engine CEO Paul Doyle and Marc Petit who is leading a round of investment into the company and is now Chairman of the Board. Many fxguide readers would know Marc from when he was at Autodesk.


Fabric Engine makes Creation Platform, an application framework for building 2D and 3D apps in areas of motion capture, animation, image processing and crowd generation. Some of Creation Platform’s users include Zoic Studios and Hybride (who used it for deep image manipulations in their work on White House Down).

In the interview, Mike talks to Marc Petit first, and then to Paul Doyle. Below you can check out some demo videos of Creation Platform at work.
